The Velv Wine Oxygenator is for anyone who prefers to enjoy their wine’s most expressive aroma and mouthfeel, which reveals a soft and silky flavor.
Using our unique PUREOXYGEN process, you can open up the full flavor of your wine in about 5 to 7 minutes – a tiny fraction of the time it takes to decant.
And unlike decanters and traditional aerators, the Velv Wine Oxygenator is designed to oxygenate your wine right in the bottle, so there’s no need to pour into additional containers.
How long each PUREOXYGEN capsule will last depends on your preferred level of preparation. In regular use – about 5 to 7 minutes for a bottle of red and 3 to 5 minutes for a bottle of white wine – a single capsule should be able to prepare 5-10 bottles of wine.
To save money on capsules, consider purchasing a recurring capsule subscription.
100% purity is more theoretical than attainable. Even the most precise production process leaves a small amount of trace gases. For example, the highest purity oxygen manufactured today, the kind used almost exclusively by elite chemical research facilities, is only 99.9999% pure.
Our PUREOXYGEN capsules contain 99.5% oxygen, the same certified purity level as food grade and medical grade oxygen used around the world.

The key element in opening up wine is oxygen. Oxygen reacts with various molecules found in wine. It subtly changes the chemical structure of hydrogen sulfides, lengthens the molecular chains of phenols such as tannins, and breaks down sulfites. These reactions smooth out mouthfeel and bring out a wine’s true flavors and aromas.
Most aeration methods (decanting and aerating) rely on exposing a larger surface area of the wine to ambient air. But ambient air only contains about 21% oxygen. Using decanters, aeration is a slow process that can take hours. And many pouring and mechanical aerators that claim to work faster show no taste improvement.
The Velv Wine Oxygenator works differently. Its advanced PUREOXYGEN technology introduces 99.5% pure oxygen directly into the wine. Direct introduction of the oxygen greatly speeds up the preparation process, bringing wine to its peak aroma and mouthfeel simultaneously, which reveals its fullest flavor. Red wines take only 5 to 7 minutes to prepare, while white wines are drinkable in a mere 3 to 5 minutes.
Taste: By using 99.5% pure oxygen, the key element in opening up wine, our PUREOXYGEN process delivers a more focused preparation, resulting in smoother mouthfeel and fuller expression of a wine’s true aromas and flavors.
Time: Traditional decanting can take hours. The Velv Wine Oxygenator prepares red wine in about 5 to 7 minutes and white wine in about 3 to 5 minutes. The next time someone shows up with a bottle, you can be enjoying it at its best in minutes.
Convenience: The Velv Wine Oxygenator’s thoughtful design allows you to introduce oxygen into your wine right in the bottle, rather than having to pour it into additional containers. And thanks to its compact size, you can easily take your oxygenator with you as opportunities arise. Picnic, anyone?
To fully appreciate the difference the Velv PUREOXYGEN process makes, we recommend that you pour out a small sip before preparing your wine, so you can compare the wine’s taste profile before and after using your Velv Wine Oxygenator.
Once your wine has been prepared with the Velv Wine Oxygenator, it will present a smoother mouthfeel, brighter aroma and fuller flavor.
Our proprietary PUREOXYGEN process has the most pronounced effect on young red wines known for their high tannic profiles. These include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Bordeaux, most Red Zinfandel and Syrah.
Some white wines also benefit greatly from the PUREOXYGEN process, and these whites general share similar characteristics with their red counterparts. For example, those that are dry, full-bodied, and possess a heavier mouthfeel than many other white wines. These include Burgundy, Chardonnay and Viognier.
